Research for sustainability, a round table to inspire young people

during the 2022-2023 academic year, Elhuyar has carried out a work on sustainability and the climate emergency with the support of the Department of Economic Promotion and Strategic Projects of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. The round table was led by Aitziber Lasa Iglesias, head of the STEAM Education area of the Elhuyar Science Unit and the event was opened by Itziar Alkorta Idiakez, Academic Director of Summer Courses, Jon Abril Olaetxea, CEO of Elhuyar and Nagore Manzano Rodríguez, Technical Department of Economic Promotion and Strategic Projects of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.
In succession, Aitziber Agirre Ruiz de Arkaut, head of the Scientific Culture area of Elhuyar, presented 20 key ideas to address sustainability and the environmental emergency in the classroom.
Joseba Aldasoro Galán, STEAM Education technician at Elhuyar, reported on 20 inspiring projects proposed by the researchers.
