Gravitational waves have been detected for the second time at the LIGO observatory.On 11 February, it was announced that gravitational waves had been detected for the first time. And with this they opened a new door of astronomy, because they showed that instead of observing it by electromagnetic waves, it can be observed by gravitational waves. The second observation has now been published in the journal Physical Review Letters. As in the previous one, the gravitational waves emitted by the union of two black holes are the ones that have detected them.
