Maalhosmadulhu Atolls, Maldives
In the Indian Ocean, the Maldives are 1,192 islands spread over 26 atolls. It is the smallest country in Asia, both in surface and population (300 km 2 and 396,000 inhabitants). And it is also the lowest country in the world, with an average of 1.4 meters and 2.3 meters at the highest point.

In Russia, Oneki is located on the Kuril Islands between Japan and the Kamchatka Peninsula. The caldera formed 9,000 years ago by the volcano of the south of the island was filled with water, giving rise to a second volcanic cone in the center of it. Therefore, inside the island there is another island, where is the highest point of the entire island: 1.325 m.
Eleuth
Eleuthera is one of the 29 islands of the Bahamas, long and fine. It is 128 km long (the image only shows the southern end) and at some points it only has an approximate width of kilometer and a half. To the west of the island, the underwater dunes form a spectacular landscape, where the eroded calcium carbonate of the coral reefs has been produced by the accumulation of marine currents.
Henrietta
In the eastern Siberian Sea, Henrietta is the northernmost island of the Long Archipelago. It has an approximate diameter of 6 kilometers and 40% of its surface is covered by glaciers.
Alejandro Selkirk
Small island located in the Chilean archipelago of Juan Fernández. Although it only has 48 km 2, it has a height of 1.650 m, enough to power the fog layer. The island is an obstacle to wind-driven mists and due to the slowing of this movement in the vicinity of the island, swirls form on both sides of the island.
