Silicon available in spintronics

Several Dutch physicists at Twente University have discovered how silicon can be useful in spintronics. So far, researchers could only control the spin of silicon electrons at low temperatures, too low temperature to use spintronics technology in everyday applications. Now it has been possible to incorporate to silicon electrons of the same spin at room temperature.
