Until a few years ago scientists believed that thanks to the language receptors we distinguished four flavors: sweet, salty, bitter and acid. Then they realized that we were able to detect another taste, the umami.

Now, researchers at the University of Burgundy have shown that mice have fat receptors, and everything points out that humans also have receptors.
