Teknopolis Season Kicks Off

This morning we presented the new season of the television program Teknopolis, at the headquarters of Elhuyar. Precisely this weekend starts the eighteenth season of this television program produced by Elhuyar for EITB.
This season, Iñaki Leturia will continue acting as host and Bego Zubia will replace Nagore Rementeria in the direction. The team will consist of scientific experts and journalists of great experience as in previous years.
In the presentation, Elhuyar CEO Leire Cancio received the attendees and recalled that this year will be the 18th season of Teknopolis. In his opinion, “being an adult does not mean being old” and has referred to the “commitment to make a fresh, juicy and interesting television program” of the work team.
Cancio also highlighted the collaboration of EITB, “because to maintain this commitment for 18 years has been essential the support of ETB” and has given the floor to the director of ETB, Edu Barinaga. For its part, Teknopolis has known “adapt to the changes and demands of society” to “be an attractive program and maintain the public’s desire”.
In the words of Barinaga, “the key to the success of the session lies in taking the great steps of science and technology in a spectacular, understandable and precise way.” He has also stated that he has been able to show and spread the great influence of science and technology in our daily lives. Thus, he said that the session is an "example" and, in addition to recognizing the work done by both Elhuyar and the Teknopolis group, has considered it essential that there be such a session on public television
Then Leire Castro thanked the sponsors “who make this project viable”: Department of Economic Development and Competitiveness of the Basque Government, Department of Education, Linguistic Policy and Culture of the Basque Government, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, University of the Basque Country, Ente Vasco de la Energía (EVE), Diputación técnico Koforal de Gia.
Roberto Uribeetxeberria, Research Coordinator of the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, spoke on his behalf. Uribeetxeberria stressed the importance of the socialization of science and research, in which they coincide "fully" with the objective of Elhuyar and Teknopolis. For this reason, he announced that the collaboration will remain as close as now.
Finally, the presenter Iñaki Leturia Teknopolis takes part. He reminded the viewer and said that this year they will make a special effort to present the thematic sessions: “Focusing on a single theme, we will try to surprise the viewer by exposing the different vertices of this topic.”
In addition, they will approach the industry of the Basque Country and explain in a simple way the scientific concepts “through drawings”. Finally, the stories told by first-person researchers will “round off” the program.
Teknopolis will be broadcast every Saturday at 13:30 ETB1 and will be repeated on Mondays at 15:00 and ETB2 on Sundays at 09:30 and Thursdays at 11:00.Gai honi buruzko eduki gehiago
