Next (Next Generation Production Systems) is the largest European production research initiative. Led by the Fatronik technology center, its goal is to get the machine tool out of the current crisis.

The main tasks of this integrated project will be the creation of ecological machinery, the development of autonomous machines for the user, the design and construction of the best production routes, the consolidation of new business models and the dissemination and training of all the results.

In fact, the prototypes of two of these new generation machines will be developed on an electro-erosion machine and another grinding machine.
