Estibaliz Medina, industrial engineer, has been awarded the prize for the best final project of the Technical School of Engineering of Bilbao.

In his work he analyzes the possibility of implementing intelligent materials in the car ventilation system. The selected material is spring shaped and is placed stretched into the ventilation system. As the temperature increases, it contracts, i.e. returns to the initial form. This allows air to enter.

The innovative system is simple but also very expensive.
