The Moon is the coldest place in the solar system
01/12/2009 | Elhuyar

As reported by NASA, the coldest places in the solar system are found in the craters surrounding the lunar south pole. The probe Lunnar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) has measured 33 degrees kelvin in these craters. The data obtained coincide with models previously produced by David Paige, principal investigator of the LRO thermal emission tool.

In addition, LRO has detected hydrogen inside these craters, which has allowed us to conclude that there may be frozen water molecules.
