Five years ago, ESA launched a project to see the impact of climate change. The project, called GLOBCARBON, aims to track terrestrial vegetation by satellite for ten years. They focus on fires, light absorbed by photosynthesis, the growth cycle of vegetation... They also want to analyze the carbon cycle to know the effect of carbon dioxide generated in industrial activity. They are now at the center of the project and ESA scientists are convinced that it will be very useful to deepen climate knowledge.
