José María Rivera, Professor of the UPV, Maurice Goldblatt Prize for Cytology

XIV Amsterdam this month José María Rivera will be awarded at the International Congress of Cytology. Maurice Goldblatt is a prestigious international prize that since 1960 is awarded to a scientist to reward the work done in the field of cytology.

José María Rivera has been Professor of Pathological Anatomy at the University of the Basque Country since 1971 and for 20 years has been responsible for this department at the Cruces de Barakaldo Hospital.

He has mainly studied mammary pathology and anatomy, but has also carried out work on the inner structure of the ear and muscle pathology. He currently works at the Cruces Hospital, in the section on Pathological Anatomy.
