Embryo no, bacteria

They are fossils of 580 million years ago. They were discovered in southeast China. And, supposedly, they were embryos. But the last hypothesis they have published is that they are bacteria, Parapandpic bacteria fossil bacteria. Not all experts are convinced of this, but yet they claim it is a step forward.

The truth is that at first they thought that fossils were a colony of green algae. And later, in 1998, they decided that they were not algae, but fossil embryos of an animal. The news triggered a real revolt between the hands with valuable material to investigate the creation and evolution of animals.

Now they think it is not an animal embryo but a giant bacterium. These circumstances reveal the difficulty of identifying some fossils (it has even cost them to decide what the kingdom is).
