Black holes do not stop forming

2003/10/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria

Black holes are at the heart of most galaxies and usually have no activity whatsoever. However, from time to time, the group of gases falls in these holes, it heats up to millionaire degrees and produces an X-ray explosion.

Taking advantage of NASA's Chandra satellite, astronomers have measured these X-rays and have seen more and more black holes in the universe. This means that black holes were not created at the beginning of the universe, but are constantly forming.
