Advances in nanotechnology

Objects created by nanotechnology only measure nanometers. Working with them is not easy. Until now, nanoobject movement tools had very limited movement and handling of nanoobjects was very difficult. In order to overcome problems, a team of engineers from the University of Texas has developed a new tool.

With the new machine objects can move in three axes and turn. The components of the instrument are joined by magnetic force, without direct contact between them. In this way it is possible to reduce considerably the friction between the useful and the nanoobject and it is achieved a greater ease to move the objects.

Scientists believe that the same mechanism is applicable to teleassistance, since with the new tool it is possible to locate the robot that is operating in the desired place.
