The Tekniker Foundation took its first steps on June 10, 1981, when it was still a Research Society. After 10 years working in the laboratories of the School of Armory of Eibar, he began his independent career. On November 22, the anniversary celebration event will be held and facilities will be presented to work on micro and nanotechnologies.

The TEKNIKER technology centre is located in Eibar and its facilities have an area of more than 8,000 m 2. Its ultimate goal is to promote the competitiveness of companies through research, development and technological innovation. During these 20 years it has been a research center closely related to the machine tool, specialized in manufacturing technologies. It works with all industrial sectors of wide range of manufacturing production and, among them, especially with the metalworking sector, such as machine tools, automotive, metal transformation, electronics or the aerospace sector.

Looking ahead, they also want to work on the fields of micromanufacturing, precision engineering and nanotechnologies. At the anniversary event, in addition to presenting the facilities to carry out the aforementioned research, scientists Pedro Miguel Etxenike and James Gimzewski will offer lectures on nanotechnologies. James Gimzewski is a researcher at the University of California in Los Angeles.
