The genome of Tasha in sight and within reach of all

The Tasha genome draft has been published and made available to researchers by the NHGRI organization dedicated to human genome research.

In fact, it is the first time that a dog's genome is decoded and published and, among the 60 races, they have chosen the box as one of the races with less changes in the genome.

Now the genomes of the dog and man are being compared. The sequences of both have a similar length and some diseases difficult to investigate in humans are much more common in some dog breeds. This is because some dog breeds may suffer from cancer, heart problems, deafness, blindness, or autoimmune problems. In addition, the dog is widely used as a model in conductive genetics and in pharmaceutical research.
