The snacking has not much to do with rafting, nor with trekking, but it is an action that more and more people do, that is to say, take snacks outside meals. And like other new fashion sports, that's also risky.

Culture, tradition, and religion have a great influence on the habit of eating and there are notable differences from one place to another in the world. There are also differences in the same country and area, mainly due to its purchasing power. In addition, in recent years, there has been a change in consumption habits in developed countries. Eating without hunger is becoming a custom and it is not surprising that one of the meals of the day is replaced by this type of food, especially breakfast, lunch or snack.

There are many factors that have led to change, for example, that the family environment that has been fed has changed drastically or, unlike what it used to be, eating is not always linked to hunger. To this are added the strength of advertising and the desire to follow the model of other countries. The food industry has created a variety of products to respond to this demand, suitable for eating anytime and place, and their affordability also attracts them. Therefore, the variety of the saucers is very wide and there are in the baldas supermarkets products directed to consumers of all ages.

If the snacks involved helped complete the diet, there would be no problem. However, many times the relationship between food and calories to be eaten daily is unbalanced. In fact, despite the fact that many of these types of products offered have a high caloric content, they present a lack of the most important foods, that is, they hardly contain minerals or vitamins, and replace the fatty acids that benefit saturated ones that generate circulatory problems.

On the other hand, in some cases, eating out of food is healthy. For example, children should not stay fasting for a long time. Even in adolescence, some foods increase their needs, such as calcium, and some of these kinds of foods help to take enough calcium: yogurts, ice cream, smoothies or cheese motions. The same happens with athletes or hard physical work. Finally, older people tend to make lighter meals due to digestive problems. Therefore, to ensure the intake of sufficient minerals and vitamins, it is recommended to take rich snacks in these foods.

Therefore, becoming aware of the ingredients of these snacks outside meals and considering them as a complement to the daily diet, snacking is a healthy sport.
