Researchers have already shown that the neutrinos emitted by the Sun are transformed in their journey to Earth. This is why fewer neutrinos are detected than initially expected. Now, through the KamLAND detector, Japanese researchers have discovered that the same happens with neutrinos and antineutrinos emitted by nuclear reactors.
