11,000 new images of Mars

NASA has posted another 11,000 photographs of Mars online. The photo was taken by the Mars Global Surveyor spacecraft between February and July last year.
The Mars Global Surveyor ship has photographed the entire surface of the red planet since 1997. In total it has made almost 124,000.
The superior did so in October last year. The image shows one of the crater slopes formed after the impact of a meteorite and, in the background, the sand dunes.
