2004/05/20 Elhuyar Zientzia

On May 11 the ESA announced the photo from the Proba satellite to the famous Chinese monument. We received news here, but today they announced that the photo is not a Chinese wall, but a river.

Long ago they said yes, that it is the only building built by man that looks from space. However, in October 2003 the joy of the Chinese was frustrated. It was then that Yang Liwei, the first Chinese astronaut in space. He had searched for liwei, but had not seen remnants of wall in his flight.

A few days ago, ESA said that the Proba satellite has taken a photo of the famous Chinese monument. Some believe that in space the wall is seen at a distance of 160-320 kilometers, but the satellite Proba is 600 kilometers from the earth's surface. How is it possible? The satellite has used a high-quality telescope to take the photo out. And yet they have been wrong. The wall is mixed with a river. Therefore, the question will remain in the air. Do you see the Chinese Wall from space, yes or no?
