A team of researchers from the Spanish Higher Council of Scientific Research has developed a genetic technique to prevent fishing fraud. Marine biologists have studied fish chromosomes for 12 years, so they are currently able to perform a genetic study of fish tissues. According to the genetic study, the buyer can know that what he buys is a product actually advertised and not another. The investigation was due to fraudulent rumors that were generated around canned tuna, since the payment of tuna and the collection of something else was extended.
