Blue-jets are blue rays that protrude through storm clouds. They were considered to be quite small, but so far they had no pictures or photos of them. This image was obtained at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico. The blue-jet emerged in a cloud of storms and reached the lower limit of the ionosphere, occupying in the atmosphere about 6000 cubic kilometers.

So far, only aircraft pilots have been able to see these phenomena, as mists prevent their vision from Earth. In addition, the shooting of one of these phenomena has been a coincidence.

Several experts have proposed that the Earth and the ionosphere exchange energy through these rays, which would explain the energy difference between the two of 300,000 volts.
