1996/01/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria
Alzheimer's disease is increasingly common among us. Many researchers are investigating the gene responsible for the different manifestations of the disease detected by diagnosis, and recently a third agent has been detected. The S182 protein gene has been found on chromosome 14 and early hypotheses indicate that 70% of Alzheimer's cases are responsible for it. A group of international researchers who have been looking for it since 1992 and have already found the trail. However, they should continue to follow the path to clarify the functions of the protein S 182 and its influence on the origin of the disease.
