A high-speed camera has shown that fly takeoff is not just a matter of reflexes. They have seen it at the CALTECH Institute, analyzing the fly Drosophila. To escape a danger, the fly first calculates where the risk comes from and then takes time to organize the body posture. When moving your legs, adjust the body's mass center to fly in the opposite direction. According to experts, the previous calculation of a fly is surprising, since it has only about 10,000 neurons. Precisely, the next challenge of biologists is to understand how this neural network works to achieve such an effective leak.
