A website has been opened to help calculate your contribution to the greenhouse effect.

Climate change has in recent times provoked polarization in the United States. The main reason for not signing the Kyoto protocol has been the pressure exerted by local industry. The Government has not signed the Protocol, so other countries have abandoned the project. The reduction of greenhouse gases is contrary to many interests.

The attitude of the most advanced country in the world has received many criticisms, since there is emitted 25% of the carbon dioxide produced by man. Many organizations of scientists and ecologists are very concerned about this problem and have launched awareness campaigns.

One of the ideas has been developed by the World Resources Institute (WRI), which uses the Internet for its dissemination. WRI has just opened its website SafeClimate.net. It allows to calculate the carbon dioxide emissions of a person or company in this area. The calculation is based on the energy consumption spent on buildings and fuel that dissipates in transport.

In addition, this website has a lot of information about the problem and is advised on the possibility of modifying it to reduce the spill in your own situation. The initiative is good, especially if it manages to encourage attitudes to the problem.
