American scientists analyze the age and mechanism of creation of the Tibetan plain.

The clash of the tectonic plates of India and Asia resulted in the formation of the Himalayas and the great Tibetan plain. Geologists have now made numerous measurements to know the steps in which this process is located and the time elapsed since its inception.

Scientists claim that the Plain is 13.5 billion years old. It is a territory located at an average altitude of five kilometers and that, according to experts, will not rise above. In the collision process it has spread and climbs to the maximum plain. From now on, due to the movement of the plates, the terrestrial surface will not become more thickened and gradually the opposite process will begin.
