2001/11/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria

In Western countries 15% of couples struggle to have children. According to some studies, in the last 50 years the number of male sperm has decreased and the abnormalities of the male sexual apparatus are increasing.

The origins of this worsening are not known, but it is believed that environmental problems and lifestyle derived from industrial activity can influence.

According to one last study, these hypotheses go the right way. In fact, the mobility of male sperm that have manipulated pesticides is lower and the proportion of abnormal is higher.
