In the cave of Agerre, in Mendaro, they have found a pendant engraved on the branch of deer and several fragments of animal figures on walls, all of them of the Paleolithic era. It is estimated that the pendant is about 14,000 years old and the rock arts more than 20,000. The discovery was made by the archaeologist Alvaro Arrizabalaga and the archaeological team Antxieta.
