Cancer written in genes
1995/11/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria
According to researchers at Keele University in Britain, ovarian cancer could be in genes. The specialists involved in this study believe that 10% of the cases in which ovarian cancer appears can be treated in advance if this hypothesis is confirmed. Keele University collaborates with other British Research Centres and, although they have not yet obtained reliable data, the chromosomal structure of women is being studied. Once risk groups are defined, more studies will be needed to better understand the origin of the disease and the psychological situation of women with ovarian cancer.
