There are currently no cobooks in Europe. More than three hundred species are known, mostly living in southern and central America. Who thought it could be a European hummingbird?

A fossil found in Germany has made paleontologists known. They have given a significant name to fossil colibia: • With this name they have made clear the surprise of having discovered in Europe the fossil of a hummingbird 30 million years ago.

This discovery has helped resolve the doubts they had so far, but it has brought more questions to researchers who did not expect them to go to Europe in search of their ancestors.
