Envisat 1 year

Envisat has completed a year in space. The European Space Agency satellite has observed the Earth since last year. has already given 58,000 turns and every 35 days passes through the same region of the Earth. The satellite will mainly analyze the oceans, land, atmosphere and poles.

The superior, that of Isidora hurricane, is one of the photographs taken with the satellite. It was celebrated last September with the hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. The satellite instruments allowed to analyze the hurricane from above and below. That is, the satellite took a photo from below.

The fuel spots deposited by the Prestige on the Galician coast have also been followed with this satellite. In November Envisat's photographs revealed 150 kilometers of spots.
