Risks of beer gut

2002/10/25 Elhuyar Zientzia

In the October issue of the magazine Diabetes it has been published that the gut caused by beer removes the owners more than a slender body. Researchers at the Albert Einstein medical school have seen in rats that after leaving behind their youth become insulin resistant. This resistance is usually a precursor of diabetes in older people, as the body loses the ability to absorb glucose in the blood.

Researchers have clarified the relationship between gut and resistance adapted by beer. In this type of gut, unlike those that produce a happy life, fats accumulate around the organs and not under the skin. And that seems to be the difference. In fact, when rats were ripped off the fat surrounding the organs, the absorption of insulin like young people was retaken.

So if you're thinking about letting the gut grow, live happily.
