This map is a testament to the recent temperature anomalies in Russia. The image, edited by NASA, has been made with the data obtained through the MODIS tool (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer).
In particular, temperatures recorded between 20 and 27 July have been compared with the averages recorded between 2000 and 2008. The areas that have overcome these stockings appear on the map in red and orange, while the zones with lower temperature appear in blue.
For they live in Russia the biggest heat wave of recent years. If we look at the map, we can see that the areas that have suffered extraordinary heat during the month of July are, above all, to the north and northwest of the Caspian Sea, in the area of Moscow. In fact, in recent times there have been numerous droughts and fires that have hit these Russian areas. Experts also say that high temperatures, which exceed 42 degrees in some places, will not be interrupted in the coming days.
On the other hand, temperatures have been lower than expected, for example in some places in Kazakhstan in northern Russia and the East.
