At this year's meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) held February 15-20, many news has been released. Among them, scientists at Georgetown University in the United States have presented the results of studies on dyslexia.

5% of the world's population is dyslexic, that is, they have reading problems and find it difficult to learn to write correctly. These researchers have noted that the cause of dyslexia is biological. Through MRI they have analyzed the brain of 37 people, 20 of them dyslexic. Both to read and to process visual movement, they have seen that the same areas of the brain are used, but in both the brain of dyslexic has a lower activity.

Until now, until it showed that the child had difficulty reading, dyslexia was not diagnosed. As a result of these studies, if it is shown that several visual activities are related to reading difficulty, you will be able to see if you have any problems before reaching the reading age.

In addition, in the case of adult dyslexics, it was demonstrated that reading capacity after intensive training can improve by 10-20%. During three and a half hours a day, five days a week and eight weeks special exercises were performed and the results were also detected with MRI, observing changes in brain activity. All this represents a breakthrough in the knowledge of dyslexia, reading and learning processes.
