Ibermática has installed in the General Hospital of Asturias an automatic diagnosis system of lung function.

This system can be applied in a large number of hospitals taking advantage of the entire electromedical infrastructure of the center.

Based on a single image of the chest, we can define situations that until now required long and hard tests for the patient, according to an expert in the lungs of the aforementioned hospital. Although this system is still in the testing phase, the XX will be held in Valencia. It will be presented at the Congress of Radiology.

A computer and an artificial vision system and digital imaging are the physical support of this new technology. Ibermática managers say that the total cost of the installation will be about fifteen million.

The process of analyzing the lung function of patients begins with an image collector that collects the images generated by the x-ray apparatus or by the magnetic resonances of the molecules and saves them digitally. Images, graphics and alphanumeric messages can be simultaneously viewed on a monitor with HD screen and keyboard, and finally the HD printer will be in charge of printing the lung scan result.
