They take another step to prevent AIDS virus access to cells

Catalan and German researchers have found, in collaboration, that some of the lipids present in the skin of the AIDS virus (HIV) are the key to infecting the cell. In addition, they have taken the first steps in the generation of drugs based on this discovery. The research has been published in the specialized scientific journal PLoS Biology and in the Faktoria program of Euskadi Irratia.
