Stem cells without animal material

2005/05/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria

Embryo stem cells have grown using only material of human origin. So far, proteins and parenting factors have been used to grow mice, cows or other animals, but they are considered to contaminate diseases.

Stem cells have grown at the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh, but similar trials are being conducted at the IVI Foundation in Valencia and other institutions.
