Mineral water is not always pure enough

According to a study published in the journal Nature, fecal contamination has been detected in the bottles of some mineral water brands. The research has been carried out in a food laboratory in Switzerland and in 11 of the 29 mineral water brands sold in European stores have detected Norwalk virus. These viruses are responsible for 90% of stomach aches. The main symptoms of the infection are nausea, diarrhea and discomfort, while the viruses cause gastroenteritis with greater effects.
The mineral water industries claim the purity of the water they sell and affirm that the technique used by researchers is not adequate to detect water pollution. The debate is there, but if it was already known that tap water is the same or better than bottled water, now it has been revealed the need to analyze and control the cleaning of mineral waters that are marketed.
