Faster transistor

2005/06/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria

US researchers have created the fastest transistor possible,
with frequencies above 600 gigas. Transistors consist of layers of semiconductor materials. In this case, the progressive variation of the composition from layer to layer has allowed to obtain a high-speed transistor. The researchers also consider that the use of this same technology could still mean the manufacture of faster transistors, found in terahercias.
