Teknoskopioa Ideas Contest Awards

The Kutxaespacio de la Ciencia of San Sebastián hosts this morning the award ceremony of the ideas competition for young inventors Teknoskopioa. This is a contest organized by the Elhuyar Foundation, Saretek, the Department of Education of the Basque Government and kutxaEspacio de la Ciencia, in collaboration, for students of Baccalaureate and Vocational Training, which is part of the activities of the Science Week.

In this edition of the Teknoskopioa competition, the students of the Barakaldo Regato School have been the winners with the work Metropoli 2050 and, according to the jury, it is noteworthy the broad vision with which they have addressed the subject: "The energy problem in 2050." The winning team has received an MP4 reader thanks to Eroski.

Awards ceremony

About sixty-ten young people, participants and classmates attended the event. First, they visited the science museum and the Planetarium. The awards ceremony was then held.

The awards ceremony was given by representatives of the organizing entities: Javier Sabadell, general director of the Elhuyar Foundation, Itziar Nogeras, deputy director of Saretek, Alfredo G mez, and the director of Educational Innovation of the Basque Government, Juan José Agirrezabala.

Those present had the opportunity to know the winning work, presented by the students of the school El Regato.

Jury

The jury has been composed of the following persons: José Mari Ibabe, President of the Elhuyar Foundation; Javier Sabadell, General Director of Kutxaespacio de la Ciencia; Elvira Gonz lez, Advisor to the Berritzegune de Bilbao-Abando; Alfredo G mez Arrieta, Deputy Director of Saretek; and Imanol Zenborain, Basque Head of Energy Communication.
