Oil seen from the sky

It is not new that the tanker Prestige has suffered an accident and has sunk. Nor the amount of litres of fuel that has been poured from the oil tanker and the damage it has caused both at sea and on the coast. But to realize it, it is best to go there. Otherwise, we can see images of both television and print media.
The image you can see is not joking either. The photo of the Canadian satellite Radarsat is on November 18. And yes, black spots are fuel covered areas. The fuel softens the surface of the sea and the waves emitted by the radar do not return to the satellite, are reflected and lost in space. That's why they stay black in the image (as if there was nothing). On the contrary, clean water is rougher; many of the radar waves return to the satellite and a clear image is created. Land colors are obtained from Landsat data.
The coastal city on the scale is A Coruña. Hence the account!
