Although yesterday we were skeptical, the NEAR probe has managed to pose in the asteroid Eros. He posed at a speed of 1.9 meters per second on the surface of the asteroid yesterday and made history. NEAR has been the first human probe placed on an asteroid and at NASA they are full of joy. On its website you can see the last four images sent by the probe: Of 1.150, 700, 250 and 120 meters. They will be spectacular for asteroid experts and very varied sources of information; for anyone else, if they are not known to be photographs of an asteroid, they are only rock and sand.

NASA will keep the NEAR probe controlled until tomorrow. From tomorrow it becomes the first silent population of EROS.
