UPV International Prize for Leire Escajedo

Leire Escajedo San Epifanio has won the JGPA-SIBI Award 2006. The award is organized by the International Association of Bioethics (SIBI), with the support of the General Committee of the Principality of Asturias. Leire Escajedo, professor of Constitutional Law and researcher at the Chair of Law and Human Genome, has been awarded the prize 'For a healthy and sustainable advancement of Biotechnology'.
The award-winning work analyzes the challenge of balancing the advancement of biotechnology and the defense of health and the environment. In particular, it explains the efforts being made by States and international organizations in this area.
