At the end of last year the world population amounted to 5.4 billion and the list of states with the largest population is that of the attached table.
Africa is the continent with the highest birth rate: six children per woman. By 2020, the African population is expected to double. The highest population density is in Bangladesh, with 850 inhabitants per square kilometer. If we compare this data with the cities, it is observed that the densest is the capital of Nigeria, which has a population of 55,000 inhabitants per square kilometer, 12 times that of New York.
Japan is the country with the lowest infant mortality rate, with 4.4‰.
Given this data, the world population in 2020 is expected to be 8.2 billion.
