ESA's Rosetta probe is launched today in search of the Churyumov-Gerasimen comet. It has been launched from the French town of Kourou and, if there is no problem, will enter the orbit of the comet by May 2014. Once there, the ship named Philae will lower the surface of the kite core and perform an analysis of its samples. They announce that the mission will end by December 2015.

The Rosetta probe was to be launched about a year ago to join the Wirtan comet in 2012. But the pitcher, the prestigious Arianne 5, exploded in one of the tests, forcing to delay the launch and reprogram the mission.

Finally the probe has been launched by ESA. These days have also been many problems, but it is already on the way to the commas.
