Chameleon tongue, even cold

Chameleon tongue is not cushioned at low temperatures. So have researchers from the University of Florida.

In general, the activity of ectotherm animals (whose body temperature depends on the outside) decreases considerably with the cold. However, researchers have found that elastic chameleon tongue movements do not experience changes despite low temperature. These results have been published in the journal PNAS.
