It seems like a knot of mouth, but it is a discovery of physics. Researchers at the University of CanoAska-Lincoln, in the United States, have managed to capture an unconventional crystalline structure. Through computer models, three years ago it was seen that, in conditions of pressure, temperature and insulation, the water formed ice crystals of two dimensions. Now they have managed to repeat the result experimentally.

The discovery is not limited only to the crystal structure, but has also seen a very violent phase transition. The research will serve to understand more in detail the basic properties of water than for applications
