Detection of young stars where not expected

Thanks to the images collected by the Hubble Space Telescope and the Terrestrial VLT, astronomers have been able to know that in giant elliptical galaxies there are young stars. Until now it was thought that the stars of these galaxies were born in the youth of the universe and that since then no new births occurred.
