The Galileo probe, spaced by NASA in 1989, has been investigating since 1995 Jupiter and its large satellites, Io, Europe, Ganymede and Calisto. NASA has completed its works and announced its destruction against Jupiter in September 2003. In total, Galileo has taken about 14,000 photographs and has given rise to many discoveries. Before its destruction against Jupiter, Galileo first visits Amaltea, a small satellite inside Jupiter, to analyze the storms of Jupiter. Until the last moment, therefore, they will continue to work.
