Iceberg

2002/10/21 Elhuyar Zientzia

Near the poles, these giants floating in the sea are spectacular. The largest are produced in Antarctica; when part of the ice shelf in this continent is detached, icebergs form along kilometers. Some 200 kilometres have also been seen.

But it's not what most of the iceberg looks like on the water. It is known that the marsh is three or four times higher than the height of the water surface, that is, the length of the submerged section. The highest icebergs can reach 100 meters, making them pieces of ice 350 meters deep, approximately.
